Protect yourself against internet fraud!
The vast majority of ads are posted by honest people and trust. So you can do excellent business. Despite this, it is important to follow a few common sense rules following to prevent any attempt to scam.
Doing business with people you can meet in person
· Pre-payments are strictly prohibited on ibadanmarket.ng
· Buyers - never pay before purchase! You can discuss the cost ofdelivery, but you can pay for the product only AFTER delivery is done.
· Sellers - don't ask for any prepayments before delivery!
· Double check company's background and look through their website before going for an interview. Do not submit any upfront fees for a job application. Do not go to the remote or unfamiliar places for an interview. Do not disclose any personal information like bank account number or your photocopy ID.
Use Common Sense
· Avoid anything that appears too good to be true, such as unrealistically low prices and promises of quick money.
· Never send money by Online Transfer, Bank Transfer or other anonymous payment systems.
· Never send money or products if you cannot trust the individual.
· Do not accept cheque as payment for goods sold.
· Ask about the person you're dealing with another confirming source name, address and telephone number.
· If a deal seems too good to be true, there is every chance that is a SCAM

Fake payment services
· Ibadanmarket.ng does not offer any payment scheme in purchases. Please, report users claiming to offer such services.
Fake fee requests
· Avoid anyone who asks for extra fees to buy or sell an item or service. IbadanMarket.ng never requests payments for its basic services and does not allow items that are not located in Oyo State,so import and brokerage fees should never be required.
Requests to use money transfer services
· Services such as Western Union or Money Gram are not meant for transactions between strangers and many scams are run through them. Avoid such requests.
